“Time for a cuppa”at GoodOaks Homecare – New Forest

A fun afternoon supporting Dementia UK’s annual tea party.

Last week the local Visiting and Live-in homecare branch hosted a great afternoon to raise money for the charity. Though a cake sale and raffle, they raised a whopping £420 to support families facing dementia. Over 944,000 people in the UK are affected by the condition.

Dementia UK believe every family facing dementia should have the support of a specialist nurse – but right now, they can’t reach everyone who needs them. As a charity close to their hearts, GoodOaks wanted to show their support.

The office put on a brilliant afternoon of fun, cakes and prizes and it was supported by other GoodOaks offices, who popped along to say hi and enjoy the spread.

Registered Manager Jan Calderon- Daniels said; Being able to support Dementia UK means a lot to us. We see the affect if can have on the lives of our clients and their families and being able to help raise vital funds for the charity, is really important.”
