Respite care in Southampton
Respite care is designed to give carers a break from their duties so that they don’t become run down or exhausted, which then enables them to deliver a consistent level of high quality care all year round. There are several options when it comes to respite care in Southampton, and you can opt to place the person you care for in a care home whilst you take a break, but at GoodOaks Homecare, we believe that by continuing to provide care in the cared for person’s own home, they are more comfortable, relaxed and at ease. From Shirley to St Mary’s and Ocean Village to Lordshill, we provide respite care services to the whole of Southampton.

Respite care is usually a fairly short-term care service, commonly lasting for around 1 – 2 weeks. However, at GoodOaks Homecare our respite care services are flexible to suit your needs and we can provide respite care for as long or short a period as is required.
The cost of respite care varies depending on the level of care required. Our live-in care services start at £990.00 per week for 24/7 care of a single adult and £1,100.00 per week for a couple and our visiting care costs start at £19.99 per visit.
We offer respite care services in Southampton all year round, so you can lean on us to take over your care duties as little or as often as you need to. We don’t set any limits on how often you can get respite care, as we know that sometimes unexpected circumstances will leave you needing someone else to step in and take over care duties at short notice.
