Recently, one of our newly-joined care professionals at the Woodford Green branch, Dorota, found herself in an extraordinary situation while enjoying a weekend walk with her family in Epping Forest.
When a member of the public collapsed nearby, Dorota immediately stepped in to help, calmly administering CPR for nearly 20 minutes until emergency services arrived.
Thanks to her swift, skilled intervention – supported by the Basic Life Support training she had completed just weeks earlier with GoodOaks – the individual survived and is now recovering in hospital.
The family later reached out to GoodOaks, describing Dorota’s incredible actions and expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the difference she made in what could have been a tragic situation.
Dorota’s response exemplifies the GoodOaks ethos: highly trained, community-minded professionals who care deeply, act decisively, and embody the true meaning of care both on and off duty.
We are incredibly proud of Dorota and thankful she was able to make such a profound impact.
From everyone at GoodOaks, we wish the individual a continued steady recovery, and we celebrate Dorota for representing the very best of who we are.
