At GoodOaks Homecare Horsham and Crawley, we truly value every opportunity to connect with our local community, and last Saturday at the Horsham Hospital Summer Fete was no exception. It was a lovely day spent in the sunshine, surrounded by familiar faces, new conversations, and a real sense of community spirit.
Connecting with the local community
Branch Directors Maricel Trinidad and Marilou Apa were there representing GoodOaks Homecare Horsham and Crawley, with a welcoming stall complete with a GoodOaks banner and information leaflets.
Throughout the day, they enjoyed speaking with local people about homecare and how GoodOaks can support individuals and families across Horsham and the surrounding areas.
These conversations are always at the heart of what we do, giving us the chance to listen, share advice, and offer reassurance to families who may be exploring care at home for a loved one.
A day filled with fun and fundraising
The team also embraced the spirit of the event, running a children’s game where participants could guess the contents of a mystery gift for just 20p, with the chance to win the prize.
Alongside this, children’s clothing was available for sale, with all proceeds kindly donated to the Hospital League of Friends.
It was wonderful to see so many people getting involved and supporting such a meaningful local cause.

Events like this are a reminder of the importance of being present in the community. They create space for open, honest conversations about care, help answer questions, and provide reassurance to families considering support at home.
