GoodOaks Homecare – Bournemouth and Poole host Spring Bonanza

Spring was in the air last week for the local GoodOaks branch.

To welcome Spring, the branch organised and hosted a puzzle swap and Easter get together for clients and care teams at St Aldhelm’s Church Hall in Branksome.

Clients who needed transport, were collected from home to ensure that no one was missed out on the get together. The branch team organised a brilliant quiz, hosted by Live-in Care Manager Tina Cobb and the lucky winners were awarded boxes of fudge! The team also arranged a puzzle swap to allow the opportunity for people to freshen up their collection and enjoy new puzzles at home. The room was filled with cakes, jam tarts, mini apple pies, battenburg and fondant fancies.

During the afternoon RM Rachael, went around the tables asking clients for their ideas for the Summer event. A group decision was made that a Summer Fete would be the preferred social event with “Splat the Directors” being one of the games! The branch welcomes all suggestions for future events and invites people to call the office and let the team know

Care Coordinator and Client

Registered Manager Rachael Dormer said “Seeing everyone get together and the joy on our clients’ faces reaffirms the importance of nurturing a sense of community and belonging. Events like these not only brightens their day but also strengthens the bonds that make our work at GoodOaks so meaningful.”
