As a local care provider dedicated to supporting elderly individuals in their homes, we recognise the importance of collaborating with community organisations that share our commitment to quality care.Â
Meeting the team
We had the pleasure of meeting with Matthew Mint, the Manager of the Dementia Hub, and his passionate team. Their dedication to supporting individuals living with dementia and their carers is evident in every aspect of their work. The Hub serves as a welcoming community space, offering a range of services tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
A warm and welcoming space
The Dementia Hub is more than just a service centre – it’s a warm, friendly space where people feel at home. The atmosphere is uplifting and inclusive, and the environment has been thoughtfully designed with comfort and dignity in mind. One of the highlights is the Hub’s own in-house salon, where individuals can access personal care services such as Indian head massages and nail cutting in a relaxing and respectful setting.
Services and activities at the Dementia Hub
The Dementia Hub provides a comprehensive suite of services designed to support both individuals living with dementia and their carers:
- Cognitive Stimulation Group – Creative activities aimed at engaging the mind, facilitated by the Alzheimer’s Society.
- Intensive Dementia Outreach Service (IDOS) – Offers stimulating activities such as gardening, chair-based exercises, quizzes, music, and games. A home visiting service is also available for those with eligible needs.
