Edgware and Finchley host first coffee morning in support of Dementia UK

We’re thrilled to share that our Edgware and Finchley branch hosted their very first Time for a Cuppa coffee morning last week, and it was a resounding success!

Held in the heart of Temple Fortune, the event brought together local residents for a warm, welcoming morning filled with coffee, cake, and all in support of Dementia UK, GoodOaks’ chosen fundraising charity for 2025.

The decision to support Dementia UK – the dementia specialist nursing charity, was made unanimously across the GoodOaks network. Many of our clients are living with dementia, and care teams see first-hand the impact the condition has on individuals, families, and care professional.

Led by Beatrice Kinyua and her dedicated team, the event raised an incredible £1,300!

Even more inspiring, online donations through Beatrice’s personal network continue to come in, pushing the total even higher.

She said, “it was a real team effort to organise the event and we loved meeting so many members of our community whilst raising money for a cause so close to our hearts.”

We’re incredibly proud of our Edgware and Finchley team for their fantastic efforts and community spirit.

Here’s to many more successful events ahead – and making a real difference for families affected by dementia.
