Taking the leap for The Myton Hospices: GoodOaks team members take on charity skydive

This October, two members of our team will be taking on an incredible challenge - a charity skydive to support The Myton Hospices.

At GoodOaks Homecare South Warwickshire, caring for people and supporting our local community are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re incredibly proud of two members of our team, Annette and Kelly, who are taking on an unforgettable challenge this October – a charity skydive to raise funds for The Myton Hospices.

While jumping from a plane may push them outside their comfort zone, this challenge represents something much bigger: giving back to a charity that provides compassion, dignity and care to local families when they need it most.

A charity close to Annette’s heart

For our Care Manager, Annette, supporting The Myton Hospices is deeply personal.

The hospice supported members of her family during their final days, providing not only expert care but also compassion, dignity and support during an incredibly difficult time.

“The Myton Hospices cared for members of my family in their final days, so this is a cause that will always be close to my heart. The kindness, dignity and support they showed both my loved ones and our family was incredible.”

Annette’s commitment to the hospice goes beyond this fundraising challenge. She is a regular supporter through the Myton monthly lottery and has previously taken part in the Myton Mount Snowdon Challenge to help raise money for the charity’s important work.

“Taking on a skydive felt like another opportunity to give something back. I’m proud to be raising money to help ensure other families can continue to receive the same outstanding care and support when they need it most.”

Taking on the challenge together

Joining Annette is Team Leader Kelly, who was eager to get involved and support such a meaningful local cause.

“It’s certainly going to be a challenge, but we’re excited to be doing it together. We’ve been really grateful for the support we’ve received so far and hope to raise even more before October.”

With the support of colleagues, clients, friends and members of the local community, Annette and Kelly have already raised £250 and are hoping to continue growing their fundraising total ahead of the big day.

Our owner, Bee, couldn’t be prouder of their commitment and generosity.

“Annette and Kelly embody the values we hold dear at GoodOaks – kindness, compassion and a genuine desire to make a difference. We’re incredibly proud of them for taking on this challenge and supporting a charity that means so much to so many local families.”

At GoodOaks Homecare South Warwickshire, we know that supporting our community extends beyond the care we provide every day. Supporting organisations like The Myton Hospices helps ensure local people and their families continue to receive the support, comfort and dignity they deserve.
