Award Success and Fundraising - a busy week at Good Oaks!

We’re delighted to share some exciting news from Good Oaks New Forest and Good Oaks Reading.

The team at Good Oaks New Forest is delighted to be named as finalists in the South Coast Business Awards, in the ‘Best New Business’ category. This award reflects the hard work and dedication to client care by Anne, George, Jan and everyone at the Home Care office in New Milton.

Although eventually losing out to the eventual winners at the awards event at St Mary’s Stadium, Co-owner of Good Oaks New Forest, Anne Calderon, said: “I am so delighted to reach the finals of these awards. The team has worked so hard, and it is brilliant that our hard work has been recognised through these awards. Just reaching the finals was so exciting!”

Meanwhile, the team at Good Oaks Reading took part in a tough Pretty Muddy 5k event in Reading to raise money for Cancer Research. Eight carers took part in the event, taking on a obstacle-filled route around the park.

Obstacles facing the team included a slide, cargo nets, inflatables, tunnels – and plenty of mud! The Good Oaks Reading team invited some of their clients along to cheer them on, helping them to attend the event by providing transport.

The team raised £245 for the charity, which is a great result.

Co-owner of Good Oaks Reading, Ingrida Savickaite, said: “It was a brilliant day, we had such a good time! It was so nice to be able to offer our clients a day out too, they all seemed to really enjoy it. Well done to the team!”
