It was a fantastic seasonal event and the team – who opened their branch earlier in the year – shared a stall with local charity Wokingham in Need.
The event provided a really valuable opportunity for the team to meet residents, speak with local organisations and raise awareness of the support they provide across the area. As a family-run business, several members of the team supported the day by helping on the stall and speaking with visitors.
Information leaflets, cookies and branded tote bags were handed out to those attending the carnival, which saw a great turnout throughout the day!
Connecting with local residents
Many stall visitors were learning about GoodOaks Homecare for the first time which allowed a brilliant opportunity for the team to highlight the range of personalised homecare options available locally. The team warmly welcomed the chance to explain how their services work, and really enjoyed chatting to everyone!
The branch provides support to people in their own homes, offering anything from short visits each week to around-the-clock live-in care. Support can be arranged on a long-term basis or for short periods of respite, depending on each individual’s needs.
Some of the services introduced at the event were:
• Personal care
• Companionship
• Medication support
• Domestic help and housekeeping
• Live-in care
• Respite care
• Tailored care plans
The team extends their thanks to Easthampstead Rotary Club and Wokingham in Need for the opportunity to share their stall and be part of the event. Their involvement contributed to a well-organised and welcoming day.
Looking ahead
The team plans to continue attending future community events, build further connections with local residents and support families with person-centred care at home.
