Celebrating summer

The Bournemouth and Poole team hosted a delightful summer fete for their clients and care team, full of fun, games, Pimms and even an ice cream van.

Summer fete

Last week, the Bournemouth and Poole team hosted a lovely summer fete for their clients and care teams, bringing their local community together for an afternoon of treats. The event took place at St. Aldhelm’s Church Hall, Branksome, a great space for fun and games. GoodOaks provided transport for all clients to ensure that no one felt stranded at home.

The get together was filled with a variety of activities designed to entertain everyone. One of the highlights was the classic “Hook a Duck” game, which made everyone laugh as people tried their luck at snagging a prize. There was also a free raffle, giving everyone the chance to win prizes from bath salts to bottles of wine!

A game of giant Jenga was available where people could build a tower, as high as they could, that would inevitably topple over in the end!

Summer fete

No summer fete would be complete without refreshments, and the branch ensured there was lots of tea, cake, and Pimms for everyone to enjoy. There was even a visit from the local Ice Cream Van so Clients could enjoy a “Mr Whippy”.

Guests were very relaxed and really enjoyed socialising together.

Registered Manager Rachael Dormer commented: ‘ It has been such a brilliant event. So much fun and laughter, and a strong sense of togetherness. We absolutely love organising these events and bringing everyone together. Can’t wait for the next one!”
