Innovation led by compassion
This recognition reflects a year of meaningful progress for GoodOaks, as we’ve continued to invest in technology that strengthens care, supports our teams, and gives clients and families greater peace of mind.
At GoodOaks, we believe innovation should never feel clinical or distant. It should feel supportive, reassuring, and human. Over the past year, we’ve introduced two major developments designed to enhance everyday care at home.
Our Digital Health Monitoring service, launched in September, allows carers to monitor vital signs and spot early changes in health using NHS-aligned NEWS2 scoring. This proactive approach helps prevent issues from escalating and supports safer, more informed care decisions.
More recently, we launched our Virtual GP service, giving clients free, round-the-clock access to medical advice. This service is already helping to reduce stress around GP access, support mental wellbeing, and reassure families, particularly those living further away from their loved ones.
Together, these innovations form part of what we call The GoodOaks Approach: thoughtful, connected care that blends technology with compassion.
We’re also proud to share that our success extends beyond this category. Several GoodOaks branches have been recognised as finalists in their own right at the 2025 Home Care Awards. GoodOaks New Forest has been shortlisted across multiple categories, including Development of an Existing Brand, Franchise or Branch, Best Individual Home Care Branch or Franchise within a Group or Network, and Specialist Care Expertise.
GoodOaks Homecare Woodford Green and GoodOaks Mid Cheshire have both been named finalists for Best Start-Up Home Care Service or New Franchisee. This wider recognition reflects the strength of the GoodOaks network and the consistent, high-quality care being delivered by teams across the country.
Recognising our incredible team
Being named a finalist is a reflection of the dedication of our care professionals and office teams across the country. Their willingness to embrace new ways of working, while maintaining the warmth and trust that GoodOaks is known for, has made this achievement possible.
Founder Ben Ashton said:
“From the very beginning, GoodOaks has been about delivering care we’d be happy for our own loved ones to receive. Being recognised for innovative technology means a great deal to us, because it reflects how we use innovation to support people, not replace personal care. I’m incredibly proud of our teams and the positive impact this approach is already having on clients and families.”
As we look to the future, we remain committed to developing services that help people live well, safely, and independently at home. Being shortlisted for this award encourages us to keep building on our vision of care that is proactive, connected, and always led with kindness.
We would like to thank our clients, their families, and our dedicated teams for placing their trust in GoodOaks. We look forward to continuing this journey together.
