The team spent time with residents and staff, collaborating on a creative project to design and make coasters that were sold to raise funds for Dementia UK. It was a chance not only to get creative together but also to get together and feel a sense of purpose in support of a cause that touches so many lives. Each one of the coasters was sold which was just wonderful to see!
Zobia Qureshi Director of Good Oaks Watford, said: ” We really enjoy meeting people in our community and finding ways to make a difference together. Spending time with the residents and staff at the care home reminded me how powerful these local connections can be and how everyone has something to contribute. It’s lovely to see what we can achieve when we work together.”
The afternoon sparked new friendships and strengthened the bond between GoodOaks Watford and the care home community. It’s a reminder that caring goes beyond providing support, it’s also about being present, sharing experiences, and working side by side to make a positive impact.
