In June we hosted our annual conference on the banks of the river Thames at The Swan at Streatley. The Directors of each GoodOaks branch gathered together from across the UK to celebrate a successful year, welcome new franchise partners, network, learn and share. Among the keynote speakers was Neil Eastwood from Care Friends, a recruitment and retention specialist and author of ‘Saving Social Care’ who delivered an engaging presentation packed full of practical, actionable advice on candidate attraction and retention.
We also recognised the dedication and hard work across the board with an annual awards ceremony, honouring the care teams in our expanding network. Announcing the winners were Co-Founders Ben Ashton and Darius Mitkus, along with Operations Director, Zoe Kelly. Below is a breakdown of the awards and the 2023 winners:

This category was open to nominations, and the team received some truly inspirational entries of how they have made a difference in someone’s life.

Care Team of the Year recognises the care team that has demonstrated extraordinary dedication and empathy in supporting their clients to stay in the homes they love.

This award is presented to the Registered Manager who has shown exemplary leadership and management of their team, with positive outcomes for their clients, colleagues and company.

Partners’ choice
This is chosen by the GoodOaks Homecare teams. It celebrates the individual who has shone this year, in terms of the support they have given their fellow owners, the inspiration they have provided and the commitment they’ve shown to providing great care.

The triumphant day was rounded off with a BBQ, drinks and socialising beside the river and enjoying the summer sun!
