Elena’s leadership philosophy places people – both clients and staff – at the heart of everything she does. Under Elena’s guidance, GoodOaks Mid Sussex has also become a vital part of the local community. From volunteering with the Elder People’s Council and hosting community events, to supporting initiatives like the VE Day celebration, the 10,000 Tins Appeal, and the Toy Appeal, the team continually finds meaningful ways to connect with and uplift those around them.
One of their most impactful efforts this past year was the launch of the “You Are Not Alone” campaign. A thoughtful initiative celebrating those who are caring for someone they love, who would struggle to take care of themselves.
The campaign provides free training, resources and essential information to support those unseen, unheard, members of our community.
Elena’s commitment to professional development also stands out.
She ensures her team has access to robust training on key topics such as Dementia, Autism, Diabetes, and Epilepsy, while pioneering experiential learning through programs like the Dementia Bus Tour. Her focus on education ensures that every member of the GoodOaks team is empowered with the knowledge and tools they need to provide compassionate, informed care.
