How GoodOaks Homecare Richmond and Wandsworth are supporting National Cancer Prevention Month

Held in The Lounge, the event brought together people from across Barnet and Enfield for coffee, homemade cakes and conversation. It was a simple yet meaningful way to create space for connection while raising awareness and funds for families affected by dementia.
There was a lovely atmosphere throughout the morning.
Guests enjoyed catching up with neighbours, meeting new people and taking part in light hearted quizzes inspired by 1950s and 60s pop culture, literature and the arts.
There was also a raffle with fantastic prizes donated by local supporters including, The Aloe Way and other community businesses.
Just as importantly, the morning opened up conversations about dementia and the realities many families face. Several attendees shared personal experiences of supporting loved ones, reminding everyone how valuable understanding and community support can be.
Funds raised on the day will go directly to Dementia UK, helping to provide specialist Admiral Nurse support to families who need expert guidance and reassurance.
