One small hat can hold so much love.

Amy, one of our dedicated live-in care professionals, is knitting beanies for premature babies to bring a little warmth, love and comfort to families during a challenging time.

Here’s the story behind her thoughtful initiative of knitting beanies for premature babies

“When I was pregnant with my son, we had a scare and needed to have a scan. While we were there, we shared an elevator with a tiny premature baby, no bigger than my husband’s hand. Thankfully, the baby had just returned from a check-up and was doing well.

That little baby stayed in my thoughts, and I’ve never forgotten the moment. I decided to start knitting beanies for premature babies and donating them, hoping to give a little love and comfort to families going through the difficult experience of having a baby born early.”

Amy’s kindness is a beautiful reminder that even the smallest gestures can make a meaningful difference. Each tiny hat is knitted with love, carrying a little warmth and hope to families who need it most.

Thank you, Amy, for turning a moment that stayed with you into something so special.
