Recently, two of the management team from our GoodOaks Homecare Watford branch, Zobia and Pat, volunteered their time at Hope Homeless Sanctuary, a local organisation supporting people experiencing homelessness.
Supporting a local cause
Zobia and Pat spent the day at the sanctuary helping to prepare and serve meals for those using its services. Alongside this, they took time to speak with people and support the day-to-day running of the space.
Hope Homeless Sanctuary plays an important role in the Watford community, offering practical support in a safe and welcoming setting. Zobia and Pat were pleased to be able to contribute to this work and support the organisation’s ongoing efforts.
Part of the GoodOaks Way
At GoodOaks, we believe caring for people also means being connected to the communities where we work. While our care professionals deliver homecare every day, many also choose to support local initiatives in their own time.
Zobia and Pat’s volunteering reflects this approach and the values shared across our local offices. Zobia said, “Volunteering at the sanctuary was a really worthwhile experience. It was nice to be able to give some time and support a local cause in Watford.”
Thank you to our Watford team
We would like to thank Zobia and Pat for representing GoodOaks through their volunteering. Their support of a local cause is a great example of how small actions can make a positive difference within the community.
We look forward to sharing more updates from our local teams as they continue to support the people and places around them.
