Camelia, our Isle of Wight Registered Manager, visited Dorothy and Michael to learn about Dorothy’s routine, interests, and health needs. Together, they created a short-term care plan to ensure Dorothy would feel supported, engaged, and comfortable while Michael took a week-long break.
Linda, an experienced GoodOaks respite care professional, was introduced to Dorothy ahead of the break. They quickly bonded over a shared love of knitting and seaside walks. Linda provided companionship, help with daily tasks, and gentle encouragement to keep Dorothy active – all while maintaining her familiar routine.
By the time Michael returned, Dorothy was content and cheerful, and Michael felt rested and reassured, knowing that high-quality, compassionate care was available whenever he needed time to recharge.
