Care is a complicated business. It’s heavily regulated and rightly so – our clients are relying on us to keep them safe and provide them with what they need.

That’s why our care and compliance support is so extensive; it’s critical to get right and is the cornerstone of everything else we do. Our founders started GoodOaks after working as care professionals, but without care management experience and there were a lot of ‘unknown unknowns’, each a potential stumbling block.

We provide the care and compliance support that we wish we had when we started. Proactive, positive and engaged, we’re here to work alongside you to provide a quality homecare service that keeps people safe and well at home.

“Quality and safety is absolutely key, and GoodOaks’ support has helped me gain a much deeper understanding of how to ensure this is baked in to how we provide care”

Care expertise and compliance support

Providing quality care at home is central to everything we do at GoodOaks. We talk about ‘the mum test’ – if it’s not how you’d want your mother to be looked after, it’s not good enough. Our experienced team provide comprehensive training in ensuring you are providing high quality and dignified care.

You’ll learn about sector legislation, our policies and procedures, and systems and processes to ensure you are providing care you can be proud of by employing people who share the GoodOaks values, and supporting them to do the best job they can do.

As well as being a franchisor, we also directly run GoodOaks Bournemouth and Poole – and this informs our immersive franchise partner training.

We’ll work with you to make sure our quality care at home ethos is running through the heart of your franchise. We visit our franchise partners regularly. We’ll go through your operations with you and you’ll have the chance to ask us any questions, run scenarios past us, or ask us for advice.

You and your Registered Manager will have on-tap access to subject matter experts with decades of care management experience.

We provide HR and performance management support, ensuring we share the more challenging areas of managing people with you. Our franchise partners really value this regular one-to-one support and we really enjoy getting to know them better and watching their business flourish and expand.

Our Quality System incorporates:

  • The award-winning GOOS System set up with our franchise partners front of mind, allowing access to key documents, information and guidance – all in one place.
  • Quality Assurance Toolkits – taking the guess-work out of compliance with a robust toolkit to root out any area of concern, analyse trends, and action plan improvements
  • Clear roles and responsibilities – to ensure that you and your team understand exactly what it required of them at every level
  • Ongoing support and monitoring including regular checks and audits and positive and proactive action planning to address any areas of concern ASAP.

Accessible, highly relevant, and fully bespoke e-learning is provided at all levels of your organisation – ensuring quality and consistent care delivery and record keeping.

A Care Pro is promoted to Team Leader? They’re then enrolled on a bundle of courses to ensure that they have the skills they need to fulfil the extra responsibilities they now have. They’re then promoted again to Care Coordinator? Another bundle of courses will enable them to hit the ground running as they continue they’re career within your organisation.

Instead of a walled garden approach to learning and development, we have opened up our expertise and experience to help our local communities – the Academy has a public-facing element.

Carefully structured bite-sized modules, free Certificates of Completion and a huge variety of courses make this a genuinely helpful resource to carers; paid and unpaid. This supports your local community and offers something of real value to people in real need of care expertise.
