Throughout the Covid Crisis, when many businesses have had to completely shut down or face extremely difficult trading conditions, GoodOaks’ Franchise Partners have been busier than ever.
Last month was a record month for all but one office in terms of hours of care provided and turnover, and the last three months’ figures are at a record high for every franchised office. This is doubly impressive in the backdrop of extended growth throughout 2018 and 2019.
This reflects the growth of home care both in public awareness and in its’ importance supporting the private individuals and the NHS. The need for quality, reputable providers focused on person-centred care has never been higher.
We have also reflected on the safety of live-in care in the current Covid climate, and how this compares to care homes, on our care site. With Covid looking as though it is here to stay, this may speed up the structural shift to care at home, rather than large care institutions.
Reflecting on the busiest month yet for GoodOaks (Reading), owner Ingrida Savickaite said:
“It has been very important to focus on our staff well-being during this busy, stressful and uncertain period. We’ve kept in regular communication with all our Carers, and have gone the extra mile for them by delivering shopping when they’ve been self-isolating, and providing a safe space for them to talk about their worries and concerns.
We’ve also been busy with our private clients, the local authority and NHS, and being a vital cog in that wheel has been very rewarding.”
