AI visibility
AI is eating google traffic, including traffic to your future care business.
A big, early decision when deciding to start up a homecare business is whether to do so on your own, or with a business partner.
Sometimes the partnership comes first, and the partners decide on a sector and brand together. Other times an individual knows what they want to do and how to do it, and recruits partners for the journey. Or they do it themselves, partnering with a franchise brand.
So, when should you consider having a business partner?
If there is an obvious partner already in your life – Your spouse/friend/sibling/ex-colleague might be experienced in the sector, have great contacts, or have the exact skill set you don’t. If there isn’t an obvious partner around, think carefully before DMing distant contacts on LinkedIn or taking someone you aren’t 100% confident about.
If you have a clear weakness or blind spot – If (for example) you cannot for the life of you compute numbers, or can’t drive, or love people but can’t work a computer, a partner can be the Ying to your Yang.
If you need extra capital – Financially, do you need a partner to get enough cash to start the business?
If you have other commitments – You might need an Operator for your business who’s invested in its’ long term success
Remember the 50% of Nothing Trap – It’s easy to give away half of a business that isn’t worth anything yet, but if five years later it’s valued at £1m, you might be looking out for a time machine.
Although franchisors won’t be able to work ‘in’ your business with you, working with a leading homecare franchise is in some ways akin to having a business partner. One who specialises in brand, digital marketing, compliance, recruitment, systems, and more. One of our franchise partners described it as having a ‘highly motivated management consultant’ available at every step of the way. I think that was a compliment…

Resale Opportunities
Subscribers to our main mailing list recently received info about a particular resale opportunity, and the level of interest and contact we had about this was way above what we’d expected.
If you’re considering a resale as a way of entering the market, it would be worth lodging your interest so you’d be the first to hear of any potential resale opportunities.
Yours,
Ben
