How GoodOaks supported Rudra Mishra’s transition from IT to Homecare
When Rudra Mishra decided to expand his business interests beyond IT and hospitality, he wanted to invest in something meaningful and community-focused. In early 2025, he opened GoodOaks Homecare Fareham and Gosport, now CQC registered and ready to welcome clients across the area, including Whiteley, Wickham, Portchester, Stubbington, and beyond.
Rudra’s professional background is diverse: he runs an IT outsourcing company with clients in Dubai and a delivery centre in India, alongside managing a successful gaming bar franchise in Eastbourne. Despite his entrepreneurial track record, entering the care sector was a completely new challenge.
This is where the GoodOaks network made the difference.
From initial training to ongoing operational support, Rudra was able to draw on the experience of fellow franchise partners and the head office team to understand the complexities of the care sector.
The tried-and-tested systems, guidance on CQC compliance, and established reputation of the GoodOaks brand gave him the confidence to build a team and launch smoothly.
“The support network has been invaluable,” Rudra explains.
“GoodOaks has allowed me to focus on building relationships locally, knowing I’ve got the expertise of a proven system behind me.”
Now, Rudra is bringing high-quality, compassionate care to his community while continuing to grow as a multi-sector entrepreneur, showing how the GoodOaks model empowers people from any background to succeed in care.
