As we start thinking about what we want to achieve in 2025, Mark Zuckerberg’s (in)famous internal motto of “Move fast and break things” isn’t necessarily the first thing that comes to mind. Indeed, as we’re responsible for people’s health and well-being, we prefer his updated 2014 internal motto – “Move fast with stable infrastructure”.
And that for us is the real growth driver we’re going to see in 2025 – our partnership approach that pairs our franchise partners’ ability to move fast with our infrastructure of systems, processes, central marketing and quality assurance. This gives us all the benefits of an entrepreneurial, innovative mindset with the reassurance of award-winning systems and support levels.
Looking around our network for inspiration, here’s 3 ways you can move (and therefore grow) fast in the homecare space in 2025:
Leverage technology to automate admin – Manual processes will slow you down and increase risk of errors. We’re doing this through a Working Group of partners from a wide range of backgrounds collaborating on a new technology in the network
Pilot new services quickly – There is a huge, ever-increasing demand for support at home, and there is an opportunity to offer new services, unlocked by changing technology, priorities and demographics. If you have an idea, get to an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) as quickly as possible to test, refine, and expand. Find a franchisor that buys into a partnership approach. As a franchisor, we’re involved in partner projects and our own pilots, with learnings shared across the network.
Challenge norms – Start-up franchise partners not from a care background bring a fresh perspective. Without the constraints of “how things are usually done,” you can identify opportunities that seasoned professionals might overlook. This mindset is what often drives innovation.
