The team at Good Oaks Home Care is delighted to announce new Deputy Manager, Michaela White.
Michaela brings considerable experience in care management to the role, underpinned by 30 years’ nursing experience – including six years providing acute medical care for frail older people.
Her strong understanding of the needs of older people, and her commitment to providing high quality care tailored to individual needs, makes her a fantastic addition to the Good Oaks team.
Michaela will support our Home Care Manager, Greg Kornas, in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the company. Her responsibilities will include visiting the homes of our service users to conduct reviews of care plans – and to ensure our customers receiving the right level of care.
Michaela will also visit the homes of new service users, carrying out assessments of individual care needs to ensure the care plans we put together are perfectly matched with people’s requirements.
As Deputy Manager, Michaela will also work hard to ensure we continue to exceed the expectations of the Care Quality Commission in the care that we provide.
Michaela said: “I am very excited to take on this new role, at a time when Good Oaks is expanding and the team is growing rapidly to meet local demand. The best thing about Good Oaks for me is the focus that the agency puts on meeting the individual needs of the service user. Compassionate, enabling care is at the heart of everything we do and staff do their utmost to ensure our service users are well and happy in their own homes.”
Director at Good Oaks, Ben Ashton, added: “We have no doubt that Michaela will be a real asset to our team in her new role and we are really impressed with what we have seen so far! Michaela’s significant experience in the care of older people makes her an important part of the team and we wish her the very best in her role.”
