Home Care Provider Praised in Report by Care Quality Commission

Staff at Poole-based home care provider, Good Oaks Home Care Limited, are celebrating a recent report published by the Care Quality Commission, praising the quality of care provided by the company.

The routine inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the regulator of health and social care in England, is designed to ensure that essential standards of quality and safety are being met.

The report found that Good Oaks Home Care met the needs of individuals, promoted independence and incorporated personal preferences into individual care plans.

The report took into account the views and feelings of people supported by the service, including:

  • “It is exceptionally good. It is a marvellous set up”
  • “I’m impressed with the support we’re given and the communication”
  • “I couldn’t manage without them”

Ben Ashton, Co-Director of Good Oaks, said: “We are very proud of our exceptional team of carers. We invest considerable time and care in finding compassionate individuals who share our values.

“It is fantastic to see their hard work recognised by this report, which highlights our commitment to providing enabling care for our service users.”

Registered with the Care Quality Commission in August 2012, Good Oaks Home Care currently employs 50 members of staff.

Led by Directors, Ben Ashton and Darius Mitkus, the company operates across the Bournemouth and Poole conurbation.
