Premium Visiting and Live-in Homecare provider GoodOaks has won the prestigious title at the 2023 Leaders in Care Awards. Holding their position amongst many other entrants, GoodOaks Homecare went on to secure the highly sought after win.
Founded in 2011, by ex-care professionals Ben Ashton and Darius Mitkus. They franchised their business in 2016 and now have over 20 locations across the UK. GoodOaks pride themselves on the innovative ways they are striving to meet the challenges facing the sector.
Their 2023 efforts have involved a number of exciting projects within the community and beyond including, a free E-Learning programme via the GoodOaks Academy and a collaboration with a local university study of nutritional care for people living with dementia at home.
The UK’S first Carbon Neutral homecare company have also have gone one step further than offsetting, with the launch of a pilot of Urban Mobility Objects. These UMOs are technically not cars but quads, powered by electricity and initially for use as transport for their office teams to travel to client assessments, reviews, support visits and more. As part of this project, they are putting electric charging points at their head offices for use by their care professionals in the hope of rolling this our across the network in due course.

The winners were announced at a gala black-tie event following at the NEC in Birmingham on the 10th October.
